FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before making one of the most important decisions of your life.

Is an MBBS from Uzbekistan valid in India and the Gulf countries?
+
Yes. Our partner universities are WHO recognized and listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS), fully compliant with NMC 2021 guidelines. Indian students must clear the NExT examination to obtain a license to practice in India. In GCC countries, graduates sit respective licensing exams (DHA, MOH UAE, HAAD, Prometric) as required of all foreign medical graduates.
Is NEET mandatory for Indian students applying through Breaking Barriers?
+
Yes. As per NMC 2021 guidelines, NEET is mandatory for all Indian passport holders applying to any foreign medical university. There is no fixed minimum NEET score cutoff for Uzbekistan, but the exam must be cleared. Our team guides you based on your specific NEET score and academic profile.
What language is the MBBS taught in?
+
All MBBS programs at our partner universities are 100% English-medium. All lectures, textbooks, examinations, and assessments are conducted in English. No IELTS or TOEFL is required for UAE and GCC applicants.
What is the total cost of the MBBS program including living expenses?
+
The total all-inclusive cost for the 6-year program — tuition, hostel, and living expenses — is approximately $30,000–$40,000 USD. This is significantly lower than Indian private medical colleges (₹50–80 lakhs). We provide a full itemised cost breakdown during your free counselling session with zero hidden charges.
Is Uzbekistan safe for international students?
+
Uzbekistan consistently ranks among the safest countries in Central Asia. Tashkent and Samarkand are modern, stable cities with large international student communities. Our universities maintain dedicated international hostels with round-the-clock security, and our on-ground Tashkent team provides ongoing pastoral support to all Breaking Barriers students.
Does Breaking Barriers charge any service fees from students?
+
Our service fee structure is fully transparent and disclosed upfront during the counselling session. We do not charge any hidden fees. All university tuition and hostel fees are paid directly to the institution by the student or their family.
Can students from the UAE and Gulf countries (non-Indians) apply?
+
Absolutely. NEET is only a requirement for Indian passport holders. UAE residents, GCC nationals, and MENA students apply under separate eligibility criteria based on their Class 12 / A-Level results. No entrance exam is required for UAE-resident international applicants. Our Dubai office handles all GCC and MENA applications directly.
